Lighting artist hos Fatshark

We are Fatshark

We are a critically acclaimed Swedish game development studio with about 180 experienced and skilled employees. We are most well-known for developing the Warhammer: Vermintide franchise, but have also helped develop a number of AAA titles and we recently launched the highly anticipated game Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.
We have grown quite a bit over the last few years and are almost two-hundred “Sharks” now, but we still embrace the same values that we started with and still think of ourselves like one big family with fun at the center. Come into our world, a world known for our crazy internally designed socks, hackweeks, and Friday afternoons for studio-wide “social play” time. It all adds up to an approachable, fun, passion-driven yet communal environment for us to work in.

The role

As a Lighting Artist at Fatshark you will be closely collaborating with another Lighting artist, concept and level art teams. Since we are using our own in-house engine Stingray, you would also have the opportunity to work with our Engine and Tools programmers to assist in developing new features in Engine for you and your fellow artists to use.
Your main focus will be helping the World Art team during the process of developing new levels and environments by setting up shading environments, in-level lighting, color grading, and doing necessary optimization. You would be helping out Art direction with levels, but also Cinematics team with lighting when there is a new trailer coming out.
The Art department at Fatshark has a lot of creative freedom, so this is the role for people who like taking initiative and being proactive, but most importantly - for people who have a collaborative spirit and like sharing ideas with others, and learning together. The project you would be working on is our newest game that has yet to be released - Warhammer 40k: Darktide!
