Tactical Inventory Planner for North America Region
About The Role
Reporting into the Regional Inventory Manager for North- and South America, in this role as Tactical Inventory Planner, North America, you will be part of a small team responsible for tactical inventory planning for North America, for inventory in manufacturing sites, distribution center and satellite warehouses in the region.

About The Department
You will join a team of Supply Chain professionals supporting the global FLSmidth business. The team members of the virtual team are based in the Americas, Europe/Africa and Asia/Pacific as well as Chennai and Copenhagen, driving inventory management/processes/governance to support the global FLSmidth business.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for tactical inventory planning for locations under geographical scope
  • Leads tactical inventory planning review as part of global SI&OP process to develop and calculate optimal inventory levels
  • Analyses sales data, trends, and customer demand to develop optimal inventory plans
  • Employs inventory policies in coordination with Regional Inventory Manager
  • Measured on inventory turnover, inventory availability, and inventory value for agreed inventory types, SLOB reduction
  • Main point of contact towards Regional stakeholders (Regional Inventory Manager, procurement, supply planning, logistics, order handling, sales)

What you bring
  • MSc/BSc in Business Administration or Supply Chain or the
equivalent knowledge acquired from extensive experience from the warehouse or inventory management field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in inventory planning.

  • Well-developed communication skills, both interpersonal and organizational
  • Rapid and thorough independent decision making and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Preferably experience with implementing centralized inventory planning and SI&OP process.
