Position Description

QIAGEN AB has an exciting new vacancy for an Account Manager in Sweden, preferably living in the Stockholm/Uppsala area. Our sales team work with Life Sciences customers to facilitate a customer-centric service and provide them with Sample to Insight solutions. We are looking for an Account Manager to drive and grow sales across the QIAGEN portfolio, supporting customers in the Uppsala/Stockholm region and Northern Sweden.
The Account Manager will be key in shaping and aligning customer requirements with the ideal QIAGEN solutions. You will be responsible for protecting, growing and proactively searching for new business within the territory for Life Sciences.
Key responsibilities:
  • Maintain contact with existing customers as well as develop new customers in order to achieve or exceed sales objectives.
  • Achieve or exceed objectives by actively selling to end users primarily at the customer site. Develop a working knowledge of current and potential activities that may affect revenues; Attend sales meetings.
  • Regularly report and forecast relevant market figures for sales management and organize and support at seminars and conferences.
  • Act as a champion for certain business areas.
  • Utilize the CRM database to input and provide information that will increase effectiveness and aid sales. #Li-remote


Position Requirements
  • Strong scientific background – ideally MSc in a Life Science subject or proven aptitude for laboratory techniques. Knowledge in molecular biology. Sales experience within Life Science business is an advantage.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills in Swedish and English at all business levels.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in collaboration with field sales representatives and application specialists and with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel, mostly within territory but also in Europe/Nordic for trainings and sales meetings; Driving license required.

This position is home-based. However we have an office in Stockholm (Kista) where the whole team meet regularly.
