Danish Crown Graduate Programme - Business Leadership
Do you see yourself in a leadership role? Our Graduate Programme is your career kick-starter into a leadership role within Danish Crown. Join a motivated, informal, and result-oriented culture with global career opportunities.
The goal of the graduate programme is to foster a pipeline of future business, production, and project leaders, by providing our graduates with a broad understanding of our entire value chain and business units. Therefore, we’ve designed the 2-year programme to give you opportunities for international exposure as well as insights into the scope of Danish Crown’s challenges and opportunities. This gives you experience and a diverse perspective on our business.
“So far I can honestly say that Danish Crown has exceeded my prior expectations. I am amazed about the focus on people development in general, the eagerness to learn and improve in order to provide better results for the joint purpose of the company”. - Anne Grete, First-year graduate
Leave your mark on our footprint and change the future for food
Join us on our journey towards creating a more sustainable future for food. Danish Crown has recently launched an exciting new strategy “feeding the future” where the focus is on value instead of volume, higher quality sustainable food and a smart and innovative supply chain. We have promised our owners – the farmers – a significant increase in yields. This calls for clever leadership and business skills as well as strong collaboration and team spirit across the Group.
Danish Crown is on a journey where we are moving up the value chain and working more closely together with customers and consumers. For this, we need graduates for whom sustainability and making a difference in the world is an important motivational factor.
“Danish Crown is already now, 2 months after starting, giving me the opportunity to work in the sustainability area, imagine a whole organization working with sustainability as a goal”! - Natalia, First-year graduate
A leadership programme
Through hands-on experience and pre-leadership training, you will sharpen your business understanding and improve the qualities needed to become a leader. You will also attend regular training and workshops with your fellow graduates to improve your abilities within areas such as project management, presentation techniques, lean-thinking, supply chain and group dynamics.
Throughout your rotations, you will play a significant and influential part in ongoing projects in your business unit. Doing so, you will gain valuable experience with project management as well as managing a range of stakeholders from farmers to food producers and consumers.
Embark on three rotations, gain international experience and a special bond with your peers.
Success is a team effort at Danish Crown and our community of current and previous graduates support, empower, guide and encourage each other to achieve our goals.
In this two-year programme, you will be on either our Business Leadership track or Production Leadership track. In both, you will experience three rotations of eight months each, working in three different functions, which could include Sales, Marketing, Business Development or Supply Chain, across three different Danish Crown business units.
At least one of your rotations will be abroad in either e.g., the UK, Poland, Sweden, or Germany. We prioritize rotations across different functions as well as abroad because this will broaden your business understanding and strengthen your profile as a future leader in Danish Crown where cross-functional leadership skills are highly valued. We will take your preferences into account when choosing locations and departments as well as support you with day-to-day practicalities like housing and networking.
“Throughout the Graduate Programme I had the opportunity to work in different areas of the business including IT, Production and in Marketing & Innovation. In each of these rotations I obtained a new perspective, developed new skills and I broadened my business understanding. This prepared me for my current post graduate position as a Business Developer working with the “feeding the future” strategy in our Integration Management Office.” - Simone, Former graduate
